A is for Big Apple

Hello World!

So a little over a week ago, M&M and I were brainstorming various domain site names I could use in my quest of owning a small piece of the world wide web creating a place where I can keep family and friends updated on my happenings.

Some names we attempted to use included…

aliceinthecity

hsunami (compliments of Michelle)

aliceinwonderland (Matt indicated there may be copyright infringements or something with that one)

…… amongst a variety of other possible site names but hello, they were all taken. What dorky person would name their site hsunami? (Ok, it’s only because it was taken, otherwise you would be visiting my site at hsunami.com right now).

To make a short story longer, we continued our brainstorm for quite some time. Keep in mind, it was getting late on a windy Sunday evening and M&M had just consumed a large quantity of BBQ eats. The brainstorming session went quiet after a while when all of a sudden, as Emeril would put it, BAM!

It just sounded right, rolled right off the tongue and like OJ Simpsons glove, it was a perfect fit….and nobody else had taken it. Muahahaha….I win, I win.

As Matt was busy securing the site for me, Michelle was already thinking about the correlations between me and the site’s name.

1) I am a teacher…….a special ed teacher.

2) My name starts with the letter a.

3) I was just about to (but I’m here now) move to the Big Apple. (as in NYC, not the circus)

So there you have it, the birth of www.aisforbigapple.com. Get it? (If not, go back to item number 1 and re-read items 1-3 a few more times).
